The Micronesian tuna fishery is located in the national waters of the Federated States of Micronesia. FSM is located North-East of Papua New Guinea and consists of 4 states: Yap, Chuuk, Pohnpei and Kosrae. Together the states are made of 607 islands. While the land area is small, it occupies more than 2,600,000 square miles of the Pacific Ocean.

Your tuna was caught by one of the 60 longline or purse seine vessels licensed to fish in Micronesian waters. All vessels must comply with Micronesian fishing laws and a registered on the regional vessel registry.
