Attendence at ASEAN Public-Private Informal Taskforce for Sustainable Fisheries and Aquaculture meeting, Bali

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAMarch 27-28, members of the Fishing & Living initiative attended the 1st meeting of the ASEAN Public-Private Informal Taskforce for Sustainable Fisheries and Aquaculture. The meeting had delegates from the various ASEAN member countries and discussions on possibilities for sustainable fisheries on a regional scale were held. Governements, industry  leaders and NGOs were present and discussed topics ranging from regional ‘Fisheries Improvement Program’ templates, to standardizing quality of fisheries products across the region and to sharing best practices between member countries with the hope of strengthening the regions market presence into the future.
